Junhao Xie (from University College Dublin) had the opportunity to visit The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and learn from Prof. Leng and his postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Zhou. Prof. Leng and Dr. Zhou focused on transportation infrastructure (e.g., asphalt) and its environmental impact. They are investigating the microplastics released from wheel tyres and its impact on asphalt. During his visit, he gained valuable hands-on experience, engaged in constructive academic discussions, explored advanced instruments, and more. It was a great time for Junhao Xie to gain new knowledge and skills, to meet new people, and to establish new cooperation.
