During an academic exchange at the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xiaotong Zhao took part in research on biomass pyrolysis, gaining hands-on experience and deepening expertise in thermochemical conversion. The exchange also led to a collaboration on CO₂ capture using molten salts, contributing to the development of innovative approaches in carbon reduction and sustainable energy.
