The AGH team has been very active in recent months as they implement the CUPOLA project, https://cupola-eu.com/. Our researchers have been promoting the project’s goals widely, targeting both expert communities and the general public. This outreach has included participation in international scientific conferences as well as large-scale science engagement events.

The team proudly represented CUPOLA at the following key industry, scientific, and educational events:
- 19th Conference on Sewage Sludge Management Methods in Uniejów, Poland – Małgorzata Wilk delivered a presentation to over 140 experts from the water and wastewater sector, representing both academia and industry.
- SDEWES 2025 – 20th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems in Dubrovnik, Croatia – one of the world’s most important events focused on sustainable energy and circular economy. Among more than 700 participants, Agata Mlonka-Mędrala and Zuzanna Prus presented CUPOLA’s research results, joined by Aneta Magdziarz, Małgorzata Wilk, and Małgorzata Sieradzka.
- LCET-2025 – International Symposium on Low-Carbon Thermal Energy Science and Technology in Istanbul, Turkey (15–17 October 2025) – Aneta Magdziarz showcased the project’s main assumptions and scientific achievements.
- Małopolska Noc Naukowcow 2025, AGH – The CUPOLA project booth attracted more than 600 visitors, including many students and their parents. It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about the pressing challenge of marine plastic pollution and demonstrate how science and innovative technologies, like those developed within CUPOLA, can contribute to solving it.
🙏 Thank you to everyone who engaged with us during these events!
The strong interest we’ve received confirms the importance of the technologies being developed within CUPOLA, both for industry and for society at large.
