From 7 to 11 June 2026, members of the CUPOLA project participated in PYRO2026 – the 25th International Symposium on Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, held in Pisa, Italy.

The CUPOLA project was represented by Prof. Aneta Magdziarz and Dr. Łukasz Korzeniowski from AGH University of Krakow, Prof. Marcin Sajdak from the Silesian University of Technology, and Dr. Cui Quan and Prof. Ningbo Gao from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China.

During the conference, the researchers presented and discussed results related to the CUPOLA project, contributing to scientific exchange in the fields of analytical and applied pyrolysis, thermochemical conversion, catalytic processes, and recycling pathways for waste-derived materials. Their participation provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate CUPOLA research outcomes, strengthen international collaboration, and engage with leading experts working on advanced pyrolysis technologies and circular-economy solutions.
The presence of CUPOLA partners at PYRO2026 reflects the project’s strong commitment to international knowledge exchange and to developing innovative, carbon-neutral pathways for recycling marine plastic waste into valuable products.
