On 25 September 2026, a CUPOLA project meeting was held in Kraków as part of the CPOTE 2026 Conference, in the form of a dedicated Special Session. The meeting was organised and hosted by AGH University of Krakow, the coordinator of the CUPOLA project.
The Special Session brought together representatives of several CUPOLA partner institutions, including University College Dublin (UCD), University College Cork (UCC), Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), Swansea University (SU), as well as colleagues from China representing Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU).
We were also pleased to welcome a special guest, Dr Sonil Nanda, Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair at Dalhousie University, Canada, who joined the session and contributed to the scientific exchange.
It was a very productive meeting, featuring numerous presentations and extensive scientific discussions on the progress and achievements of the CUPOLA project. The session provided an excellent opportunity to summarise the work completed so far, exchange research results among project partners, discuss further activities and strengthen international collaboration within the consortium.
At the same time, the Special Session served as an excellent opportunity to promote the CUPOLA project to a wider scientific audience. CPOTE 2026 conference gathered 120 participants from 19 countries, providing a valuable platform for disseminating CUPOLA results and increasing the project’s international visibility.
